Spring and autumn are the best times to visit Armenia. During autumn, days are long, sunny and mild with beautiful colors in the trees, and everywhere you go there is lots of harvests. Armenia’s mountains, valleys, canyons and forests, resulting in a range of microclimates, with weather conditions varying significantly by altitude.
The country overflows with history and culture, most of it unbeknownst to the western world. Yerevan itself is packed with museums, art galleries, and very stately Soviet-era buildings, and there are some great historical treasures just a day trip away.
You can walk around most places within a day during a long walking tour. However, if you want to spend time shopping, visiting museums, watching the fountains and getting the feel of the cultural side, you should probably dedicate 3-4 days to Yerevan.
